Unlike the temperate countries with four seasons, there are only two seasons in the Philippines: the wet and the dry. The rainy season runs from May to mid-November. Although excursions are still possible at this time, there is a possibility of typhoons and the majestic views can be lost. Therefore, multi-day excursions are not recommended at this time if you want to have a great experience in the Philippines. Dayhikes, however, can be done all year round without any problems.

The rains become less frequent from mid-November to April; but keep in mind that rain can still occur at any time. Hiking is more pleasant from December to February, when the temperature is cool by Philippine standards (10-20 on the high peaks during the day) and the rains are at a minimum.
